The world-famous Queen's Beasts series was issued by the Royal Mint in 2016 by releasing the “Lion of England” coin. This beautiful program features the ten beasts which stood guard at the coronation of Her Majesty and each one of them supports a badge of arms of every family that has been associated with the Queen’s ancestry. The 1st edition was later followed by the “Griffin of Edward III”, “Red Dragon of Wales”, “Unicorn of Scotland”, “Black Bull of Clarence“ and “Falcon of the Plantagenets“; the series now welcomes the 'Yale of Beaufort."
