1 oz Silver Round US Space Force Because of the Brave

The United States Space Force is the newest branch of the United States Armed Forces. While recently established as an independent service, it builds upon decades of U.S. military space operations and the legacy of Space Command.

Each 1 oz United States Armed Forces Space Force Silver Round is presented in its own plastic flip, complete with a holographic sticker showcasing the emblems of the United States Space Force and the United States Air Force. The artwork is officially licensed by both branches.

Before the creation of the Space Force, most U.S. military space activities were managed by the Air Force. In 1985, the United States Space Command (USSPACECOM) was formed to coordinate space-related defense operations, including satellite communications, missile detection and warning systems, and other orbital missions.

The obverse of the Space Force Silver Round showcases an emblem representing the nation’s newest military branch. The Space Force was established to organize, train, and equip forces to safeguard U.S. and allied interests in space, while delivering critical space capabilities to joint and coalition operations. Its duties include managing satellites, monitoring missile threats, conducting space surveillance, and supporting national security initiatives.

On the reverse, the round features the series’ standard design: a detailed depiction of the American flag in the background, encircled by the inscription, “HOME OF THE FREE, BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE.”
