2020 Perth Mint Lunar Mouse 1 oz Silver Coloured Proof Coin

Highlighting the first animal in the zodiac in vibrant colour, this 1oz coin features an adorable mouse design struck in flawless proof quality silver. The remarkable release would make a fantastic keepsake for those born in the Year of the Mouse in 2020, 2008, 1996, 1984, 1972, 1960 and 1948.

The reverse of the coin depicts two coloured mice foraging among husks of corn. Also included in the design is the Chinese character for ‘mouse’, the inscription ‘MOUSE 2020’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.

As an exciting new addition to the 12-year Australian Lunar coin series, the shipper illustrates the story of how the mouse became the first animal in the lunar cycle. The shippers of the coins in the Australian Lunar Series III will, when arrayed together, form a diorama depicting the ancient myth of The Great Race.
