2020 Austrian Philharmonic 1/10 oz Gold Coin
The Vienna Philharmonic bullion coin series was launched by the Austrian Mint in 1989. It began with just two versions - 1 oz and 1/4 oz. The Philharmonic was an instant hit and the more affordable 1/10 oz version was introduced in 1991. Its classic design featuring the instruments of its namesake, the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, is retained from year to year. From 2003, the Vienna Philharmonic series was changed from Austrian Schillings to Euros. It's still the only European bullion coin series to have its face value in Euros - just another detail that heightens its appeal.
