2019 Perth Mint Kangaroo 1/10oz 9999 Gold Coin

This 2019 1/10 oz Australian Gold Kangaroo Perth Mint Coin is the latest release in the Australian Gold Bullion Coin Program. Issued as Australian legal tender, each coin is struck from .9999 pure gold and is highly collectible on the marketplace. The coins sizes vary from 1/10 oz to an impressive 1 kilo and are one of the most successful products of the Perth Mint.

These were the first bullion coins to have an annually changing reverse design. Initially, for the first three years, the coins sported different gold nugget designs that were found in Australia, thus their original name ”Australian Gold Nugget series”. In 1990, the mint decided to use the change the name to honor the national symbol of Australia, the Kangaroo.

The coin’s reverse features a kangaroo bounding across a stylised rural landscape. The obverse features the right facing bust portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, created by Ian Rank-Broadley. Each coin design also incorporates the inscription AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO, 2019, and the Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.

Their low mintage and annually changing reverse design make these gold coins highly collectible among investors. Each coin comes in a mint-issued acrylic capsule.
