The Queen's Beast History: The 10 mythical creatures depicted in this beloved series honor the famous statues that stood at Queen Elizabeth II's coronation ceremony in Westminster Abbey in 1953. Created by James Woodford, the six-foot-tall plaster statues symbolized the royal heritage and legacy passed down to the Queen. The original plaster statues are now permanently displayed at the Canadian Museum of History in Quebec, while stone replicas can be viewed at Kew Gardens in the United Kingdom.
